Randy Atlas

Randy Atlas is an accomplished dancer & deejay in the Swing, Salsa, & Hustle dance worlds. He has taught Ballroom, Latin, & Hustle dancing to support himself through graduate school at Florida State University in the 1970’s. While at FSU he formed the Ballroom Dance Club & taught more than 5000 people how to dance. Atlas competed on Dance Fever in 1983 in the Dallas Semi-finals. In 1999 he danced in the Miami Superbowl half-time show that featured Big Bad Voodoo Daddies, Gloria Estephan and Stevie Wonder. Randy was one of the founders of the South Florida Swing Dance in the 1980’s, and sponsored the Swing Into Spring national dance event in 1996 and 1997. In 1998 he partnered with Katie Marlow and Billy Fajardo to form the International Hustle and Salsa Competition (IHSC) in 1999, that lasted 20 years, and featured hustle and salsa dancers from around the world and USA. While most people know Randy for his role as a deejay and dance instructor, in real life he is an architect and criminologist, and he received his Doctorate in criminology from Florida State University. He practices here in South Florida, and still enjoys dancing socially around the world in his travels. He is married to Trish Warren Atlas, whom he met at IHSC in 2003.

Philadelphia 's own Donna was the regional dance champion on the national TV show "Dance Fever". For 30 years, she has been competing, performing, and exciting audiences with her polished and sensual style.  She performed for acts such as Billy Crystal, Tu-Pac, Sammy Hager, Ben Vereen to name a few. Her TV credits include Discophonic scene and "on the air" with the Geater, 1999 QVC National Dance Promotion, two appearances at the Phillies game with the Phillie Phanatic, Good Day Philadelphia (with Dick Clark), Good Morning America,1999 PBS show "Crazy Dancing" aired in England & USA , & two appearances on the CBS nationally syndicated competition " Dance Fever" in Los Angeles. She Placed third in the cabaret division at the Harvest Moon Ball. Her performances in Atlantic City include the "Disco Fever Show" At the Tropicana Hotel, Also Ballys Hotel , Resorts as well as Ceasars Hotel. Donna was also one of the Event Directors for Hustle USA 1995. Donna has been teaching, coaching and promoting Hustle in the Philadelphia area as well as traveling throughout the United States to conduct workshops and promote her dance event Disco America. She is also the proprietor of Party Pros Entertainment, and is a Hypnotist certified with the national guild of hypnotist since 1997. She is currently on the teaching staff of Sandy Fortuna's Universal DanceSport Center (NJ), Bucks County Dance Center (PA),YMCA ( Lansdale Pa ) Stardust Ballroom (NJ).Currently she is a DJ & MC for parties and events. Donna's success is evidenced by her awards and participation in competitions.

Veroncia Castilla

With multiple widely recognized hustle titles, Veronica has earned her stripes of an esteemed hustle dancer and instructor over the years. As a 7X World Salsa Champion, Veronica has extensive training and expertise in partner-based dances. Through the tutelage of Paul Pellicoro and many other instructors, she began her hustle and Salsa training in 2006 at DanceSport in NYC, prompting her partnership with tricks and lifts specialist, Rainer Trubiere and salsa pioneer, Nelson Flores. While specializing in lifts and tricks, Veronica is also known for her keen attention to detail and effortless style of hustle dancing, which has amassed the wide/ranging student base she possesses today. Influenced by prior hustle pioneers, Veronica hopes to bridge the gap between the younger and older generations of hustle to further develop and grow the hustle communities. You can catch Veronica in the highly regarded Lin Manuel Miranda directed dance film, In the Heights.

Leah Duque

Leah Duque, originally from Toronto, Canada, is one of the most versatile dancers in the Latin community. She has been dancing for 35 years and was Classically trained in ballet, jazz, tap and lyrical. She trained under the Canadian Dance Company travelling the US and Canada. She attended Cawthra Park Secondary School for the Performing Arts as a dance major. During this time, she also trained under Stelio Calagias at Metro Movement. During college, Leah made the switch to Latin dancing specifically salsa and Bachata. Since then she has competed and been very successful at several competitions such as The World Latin Dance cup, World Salsa Summit and The Summit Championship, in salsa, Bachata, Latin Hustle, Cha Cha and lyrical/contemporary. Leah currently trains under Billy Fajardo, and is currently his main instructor/team Director at Fajardo Elite Dance Academy, located in Davie, FL.

Billy Fajardo

With over 40 years of dance performance experience, Billy began his dance career at the age of 14. With his beginnings as a club dancer, he then immersed himself in ballet studies at ABT and jazz studies with Phil Black and Frank Hatchett.

Billy Fajardo has been a pioneer in Latin Hustle since the dance was created in the South Bronx in the 1970’s. He started The Dance Dimensions, one of the first dance companies to perform Latin Hustle on TV, in movies, and live around the world. n 1978, Billy’s dance company, the Dance Dimensions were discovered by the late Tito Puente while they performed at the Chateau Madrid in New York City. Tito spread the word to Ralph Mercado, who then brought Billy Fajardo and the Dance Dimensions in to perform at Madison Square Garden; a venue they would find themselves in frequently, performing at headliner salsa concerts throughout the late 70’s and 80’s. Billy and the Dance Dimensions also performed weekly on NBC from 1978-1982 as part of the nationally televised “Don Kirschner’s Rock Concert” In 1993, Billy was the the co-director and choreographer for the RMM dancers for the world-renowned "Combinacion Perfecta Salsa Tour", which featured such stars as Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, La India, Cheo Feliciano, Tito Nieves and many more. 

He is a multi- world champion, an event organizer, and the founder of The Summit, one of the largest and most prestigious international Latin dance competitions.

Christy Kam began her dance career as a ballerina, training & performing with the Columbia City Ballet in Columbia, SC & the Royal Academy of Dance school in Portland, OR. She performed as a core dancer & soloist in addition to her teaching schedule. Upon moving to Philadelphia in 2000, she started her partner dancing career, winning many titles with Pan Thomakos, including the USA Dance nationals: Adult Championship Rhythm winner, 9 Dance (Rhythm & Smooth categories combined) runner up, as well as Pre-Championship 3rd place Latin in 1997 & winning the Adult Championship Rhythm title & the Adult 9 Dance Championship  in 1998. From there, she competed in professional rhythm, smooth, & 9 dance with Cedric Jacobsen. She also competed in salsa & bachata & toured the US competing, performing, & teaching with Henri Velandia as well as qualifying for the world salsa championships. Recently, she has also danced rhythm with Jameson Kilburn, making finals in professional rising star rhythm. Jameson is her partner for hustle & triple threat (hustle, salsa, & WCS), where they have won many titles, most notably winning the 1st place title in open professional world hustle championships, professional strictly hustle, & professional triple threat in 2014, making her the current & reigning world hustle champion. In addition to hustle, she also dances on the country circuit. In 2014, she competed in the pro-pro division with Clive Stevens (winning 3rd place at Worlds 2014). In 2015, Clive & Christy competed the showcase division winning 1st place at worlds and 2nd place in classic division. They also earned a gold & two silver medals at the 2015 World games in the couples divisions as well as one silver medal in the world games for Christy’s line dancing. At Worlds 2015, Christy also won the classic & showcase divisions of advanced line dance, qualifying her to compete in the superstars line dance category. She is a current competitor in Masters & Superstars as well as a judge on the UCWDC circuit. Her extensive knowledge base across many types of dance styles, extensive teaching experience, & sense of humor are what her students like most about taking lessons from her. She currently lives in Hershey, Pennsylvania & teaches at various local venues.

Louis Orlando & Elizabeth Darchi

Louis and Elizabeth have been instructors for dance events: IHSC, Disco America, Tri-State Dance Festival, Canada Salsa and Bachata Congress, LA Hustle Congress, plus more. Louie has been teaching and dancing for many years and is considered one of the best Hustle leaders.  Elizabeth has attended Performing Arts High School as a Ballet major. She also has an extensive dance repertoire of Jazz/Theater, Salsa, Ballroom and Hustle. As a choreographer she has touched the realm of show productions and choreographing for major Dance events.

Louis and Beth’s workshops are fun and informative where they have a chemistry that will have you wanting more. They strive to introduce their innovative funky/rhythm and creative style in Hustle by utilizing Classic House, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B and old school Disco music. Their diversity in hustle has been the hallmark of their career.

Paul Pellicoro

Now one of Florida’s own, Paul is a professional ballroom dancer, instructor, and choreographer. He had owned and operated New York City's largest ballroom dance studio, Paul Pellicoro's DanceSport, since 1985, to recently in New York City. Renowned for his work in films, Paul has extensive film experience both as a performer and as a choreographer. Among his notable students were Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, John Leguizamo, Mira Sorvino, Richard Gere, Wynona Ryder, Sigourney Weaver, Anthony LaPaglia, Jennifer Aniston, Paul Rudd, Brian Cox and Marilyn Cole.  Paul recently received the Hustle Congress Icon Award. Paul is a world renowned ballroom and hustle instructor with years of international experience.

Jaime Serna

Jaime has been competing on the national Hustle circuit for the past 24 years holding numerous titles as an amateur and several since becoming a professional. Jaime learned by training and competing with several of the top Hustle Legends Dancers/Instructors/Coaches of years past. He is currently teaching independently in the tri-state area. He has been on staff at Disco America, IHSC, World Hustle Dance Championships, New York Hustle Congress, Swing Dance America, LA Hustle Congress, Tri- State Hustle Festival, NJ Hustle Congress, Mad Jam and Swing Fling. He has been named Top Male Instructor on Dance-Talk Reader's Magazine four years in a row. Jaime's passion and talent for Hustle, combined with his precise movements and smooth style has made him a prominent figure in the Hustle scene. He continues to compete in Pro/Pro and Pro/Am's with his students receiving top honors at events around the country. Jaime believes in using traveling patterns to move around the floor to show footwork and flair.
